Well done to the minors on a fantastic win at Clann na hÉireann, Carragan this evening (Tuesday 21st)! The referee came to the conclusion that it was a 1 point win, but everyone in the ground agreed it was in fact 3 points. (Could have been more but for a missed penalty. Better luck next time, Big Mark!) Excellent leadership and organisation throughout the field, tireless tackling and effective use of the ball were the hallmarks of an encouraging victory against one of the league leaders. Team on the night: Stephen Garland; Michael Shannon; Conor Loughran; James Hopkins; Conor Quigg; Declan McCavana; Paul Smyth; Ruairí Wilson; Darragh Loughlin; Nathan Chada; Daniel Clarke; Darragh Monaghan; Cormac Bradley; Emmett Loughran; Jackson McGreevy. Sub: Mark Cummings for M. Shannon (inj) Good stuff, fellas. Naomh Bríd next week.

The big freeze continues and all the associated problems especially for the footballers and hurlers securing training facilities. And if you're going out, to the club for a beer perhaps, make sure to put on a big coat, you'll appreciate it when you're going home. But what if you haven't got a big coat I hear you ask? Well one individual has found a way around this, just take someone else's coat! Even if it doesn't fit and the other person has to go home cold. |
