Tickets for the concert are now on sale. Tickets may be purchased from bar, from John Hopkins on Sunday nights, from the shop on Saturday mornings from 10.00am - 11.00am, from Jackie Bradley and Kevin Sheehan. Please note a couple of points. Tickets will not be handed over without payment. There has been great interest since this concert was officially publicized so members wishing to attend are urged to get their tickets sooner rather than later. This is a one off chance for club members and friends to enjoy a intimate evening of music with one of the country's most successful artists.
When Nanci Griffith called Frances Black the sweetest voice of Ireland, she was paying tribute to someone who has been one of Ireland's best-loved and most enduring artists since the late 80s, with a string of best-selling albums, awards and other accolades behind her.
As Frances will be appearing with her band in concert there will be certain protocol for this event. The bar will not be open during the concert although members will be able to access it prior to and after it as well as during the break. There is a ceiling on the number of tickets to be sold and there will be strictly no admission payment accepted at the door on the night. Make sure you don't miss out on this unique occasion as once the tickets are gone they're gone. |

This year has brought much debate about the future and direction of hurling in the club, but after this spirited performance everyone associated concluded that hurling is very much alive, and the future is promising. |
